Staircase Design and Location is always an important part of any mezzanine floor design.
From the customers prospective, staircases need to complement the existing and proposed use of the area.
From the Building Control & Fire Officer prospective, staircases need to be located appropriately, from a point a view of travel distance and relative to personnel fire exits from the building.
Lastly Part M of the Building Regulations Legislation requires that you take account of Dis-abled Access when considering a mezzanine floor, which may require the introduction of an Ambulant Staircase.
We ensure that all the above issues are consider and taken into account when designing any mezzanine flooring.
Finishes and format of any staircase is completely flexible once the above have been taken into account.
